    Later, take part in a traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony, where each guest receives an African name and learns its significance—an emotional and memorable highlight of the journey.

    Royal Heritage & Slave River Site

    Breakfast and hotel check-out
    Begin with a visit to the Manhyia Palace Museum, seat of the Ashanti Kingdom, for insight into royal traditions and history.
    Depart Kumasi for Cape Coast in the Central Region. Drive through the forest and several farming villages. Stop en route to visit Assin Manso, burial site of the remains of the two ancestors exhumed from New York’s Wall Street and Kingston, Jamaica, and re-interred on Emancipation Day 1998. Visit the “Slave River Site” where enslaved Africans were allowed to have their bath in preparation for auction at the nearby slave market.
    Arrive in Cape Coast for lunch and Check-into your hotel.
